Nathan Freiman is a 2005 RHP/1B from Wellesley, MA, with a strong and projectable 6'7", 215 lb. frame. On the mound, he has a loose and easy arm with very good arm strength and arm speed. He has a polished delivery that he repeats well with good balance. His fastball topped out at 90 mph with some arm side life, and it is easy to see him throwing even harder in the Spring. He cuts off his curveball at times, but he gets good bite and has the potential to be a very good pitch for him. Freiman has only been pitching for one year, and he has the chance to be a dominating mid to upper 90s RHP as he matures. He is also a good hitter. He shows good bat speed with raw power. He is patient and recognizes pitches well. As well as Freiman swings the bat, his future seems to be on the mound. He is a super student 4.87/1540SAT who has signed with Duke.
