Jake Henson is a 2012 C/OF with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from St. Peters, MO who attends Francis Howell Central HS. Strong athletic build, broad shoulders, barrel chest. Very loud and animated receiver. Agile behind the plate, loud early setup, athletic actions behind the plate, feel for receiving, blocks well. Quick transfer on throwdowns, short arm action, good arm strength-even from knees. Balanced catch & throw. Good raw hitting tools, doesn't get much use from lower half. Good bat speed, looks to extend, power potential, line drive contact, ball jumps. Good student, committed to St. Louis, has upside.
