2013 PG Underclass All American Games
Joey Bart is a 2015 C/1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford HS. Large extra strong build, physically mature. Right handed hitter, Tall stance, high hand start, long stride and fall into contact, swings down to the ball with loose and long finish, creates very good bat speed and ball jumps when squared, length and big shift create timing issues, big power potential if it all comes together. Very good raw arm strength behind the plate, long whippy arm action, strong hands receiving the ball, can frame it, will have to continue to work hard on lower half quickness and footwork. Has never pitched in close to 20 PG events but it would be interesting to see his arm strength/arm action on the mound. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.
