Scott Hurst is a 2014 OF/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Glendora, CA who attends Bishop Amat HS. Medium athletic build, tightly wound strength. 6.63 runner, high level defensive tools in the outfield, big time arm strength with accuracy and a quick release, has the speed to play centerfield. Also plays the infield, arm strength plays big there, too, will have to improve his release and exchange but has the athleticism to play there at the next level as well. Left handed hitter, simple swing mechanics, short quick path to the ball, swings hard, line drive swing plane with some pull power, can reach the gaps, handles the barrel well and performs.
