Travis Wilkie is a 2014 C/3B/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Saint Augustine HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Right handed hitter, short line drive swing, keeps hands tight to body, simple repeatable swing mechanics, hits to all fields, should continue to improve offensively with additional strength. Flexible lower half defensively, shifts and blocks well, high energy defender, tends to recoil/fall back when throwing costing arm strength, 2.03 best pop time. Has been 85 mph off the mound this summer, so arm strength is there with adjustments. Excellent student.
