Dominic Paolo is a 2016 C/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from West Palm Beach, FL who attends Elev8 Sports Institute. Medium athletic frame with good projection remaining. Hits from open stance with high hand set, narrow base, small stride into contact with front foot down on time. Simple hitting mechanics , quick hands to and through the zone, creates good extension through contact. Line drive contact to the middle of the field with some power to the pull field. Worked out behind the plate, showed solid arm strength and popped as low as 2.08 seconds down to 2B. Sets up slightly side saddle, good footwork with deliberate catch and throw mechanics. Pitches from high 3/4 arm slot, very deceptive delivery in which he hides the ball very well. Gets downhill well with mid 70's FB; showing feel for 12/6 CB in mid 60's; throwing consistent strikes with both offerings. Very good student.
