Daniel Riley is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from Mansfield, MA who attends Xaverian Brothers. Large projectable frame with a lean athletic build. Pitches from 3/4 arm slot, with arm speed, throws easy and stays tall on the backside. Attacks hitters with his fastball, has good hip rotation on his delivery, and is quick to the plate from the stretch. Curveball has sharp bite when he is down in the zone, likes to throw to the outer half and locates his pitches well. Starts out with a upright stance at the plate, with a toe-tap trigger, gets good extension, makes consistent contact and has bat speed.
