Alex Jones is a 2015 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Long Grove, IA who attends North Scott HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Two-part delivery, slow tempo to his balance point then drives hard and fast to home plate, has some deception, tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, appeared to get on hitter's quickly, primary fastball pitcher who attacks hitters aggressively. Slider showed some potential with occasional hard biting action and some two plane depth. Tends to cast curveball with loose spin. Should keep improving with additional strength. Good student.
