Thomas Spinelli is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic HS. Big and thick build, good present strength, fairly mature physically. Hunched over leg lift delivery, leans weight back over balance point, some energy through release and will fall off to the third base side, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball to 89 mph, good arm side running life at times. Throws a hard power curveball, not consistent with release point but gets good spin on the pitch, hard 1/7 biting shape when he's on top of it. Firm change up with good fading action. Flashes three quality pitches and tries to mix but must iron out delivery inconsistencies to take the next step. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
