Xzavion Curry is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Mays HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength, full of athleticism and quick-twitch muscle. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and hands play at the ball, short and fast arm action produces big arm strength across the diamond, easy carry out of hands with confidence to defensive actions. Performed very well in the outfield, moves well to the ball with fast footwork, same arm action and plus-arm strength, on line and accurate throws with excellent carry. Also pitched, worked comfortably in upper-80s, touching 90 mph from high three-quarters arm slot, moving parts to delivery add deception. Challenges with fastball, true in life but is able to miss barrels. Slot on curveball matches fastball, shows command of the pitch and sharp depth when on top. Strong two-way potential. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance in the box and a high leg lift trigger for timing. Upper body swing with line drive swing plane, short path to the ball, keeps things simple and repeatable. Quick hands, ball comes off the barrel well with best carry coming to pull side when on time with front foot. Very good student. Named to World Showcase Top Prospect List. Signed with Georgia Tech.
