Grant McDaniel is a 2016 OF with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria West HS. Smaller compact build with some present strength. Good runner, 6.85 in the sixty, works through the ball well in the outfield, showed good reads off the bat in games, sound fundamentals and footwork, on line accurate throws. Right handed hitter, loose swing with lots of extension out front, moves his lower half into contact well, stands close to the plate and is looking to pull, will get early in his load and commitment, has the strength to drive the ball. Interesting athlete with solid tools and a nice approach to the game. Good student.
