Branson Audette is a 2016 C/OF/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Obra D. Tompkins HS. Has a large frame with a strong build with sign of present strength. Posted a 7.23 60 yard dash. From behind the plate, low crouch with quick footwork and transfers. Ball comes out well with good arm strength and accurate throws down to second base. From the outfield, fields the ball off to the side with a small crow hop into throws. Short arm action on throws with good carry and accuracy to target. At the plate, starts with a tall upright stance with a leg lift trigger. Simple approach at the plate with good bat speed and extension through the baseball. Has strength at the point of contact with looseness throughout. Lower half does a nice job clearing and driving toward the baseball. Athletic player with tools that project well. Good student.
