James Nelson is a 2015 SS/2B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Stone Mountain, GA who attends Redan HS. Tall, highly athletic, lean build. Looks the part playing up the middle. Shows plus speed. Ran a 6.70 60 yard dash. Shows flashy actions on the infields and hands work very well. Makes the plays consistently and shows lateral agility. Has a big arm and makes consistent throws across. Bats right-handed, works from an upright setup and uses a leg kick trigger. Hits hard line drives to his pull side and knows how to lift the ball. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
