Roger Garcia is a 2016 RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Archbishop Edward McCarthy HS. Strong well proportioned athletic build. Sound pitching mechanics, stays tall and balanced, compact arm action, quick and loose arm coming through, ball comes out cleanly, 3/4's arm slot, can work against his front side better on release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, more velocity in there with maturity, mostly straight with occasional running action. Soft curveball with occasional tightness and bite, can develop more power with adjustments. Gets some running action on his change up, tends to open front side throwing it. Solid young pitching prospect with good strength and a loose arm. Good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
