Jonathan Olsen is a 2015 RHP/SS, 3B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Rancho Cucamonga, CA who attends Damien. Tall, lean athletic build with room to fill. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot, long two-piece arm action, grab in back of arm action but works through it cleanly and maintains coordination of delivery well. Fast arm, gets on top of the baseball well, good downhill plane, creates heavy sinking action on fastball in mid-upper 80s, generates consistent ground balls. Repeats delivery well, 12-6 curveball with sharp late break, potential plus offering as it gets firmer. Good extension out front allows velocity to play up a bit, commands both pitches well, has shown a solid changeup in the past. Lower effort delivery, good pitchability, high level upside. Excellent student, verbal to UCLA, named to Top Prospect list.
