Armold is a 5-11, 160 lb junior right handed pitcher from Florida with a medium framed young body. He has a clean delivery with a deliberate leg raise and good balance and direction to the plate. Armold's fastball was mostly 76-78 mph with occasional tailing action. His cruveball was 67 mph and had good tilt and bite to it. Armold could throw his curveball more than he showed us and probably does in regular games because it's a good pitch for him. Armold got in a nice rhythm and threw strikes where he wanted to and was very effective. He's the type of young pitcher who should gain some velocity over the next year or two as he gets stronger. With his other present skills and his ability to spin the ball, that should make for a solid pitching prospect with some upside. Armold is also a good student.
