Rob Simsiman is a 2014 C/3B, 1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Torrey Pines. Large frame, strong build. Hits from a slightly open stance, good balance, line drive swing plane, generates solid bat speed, uses the middle of the field well, stays tall, simple swing. Comes out of hand well on throwdown to 2B, good release time, online throws. Pitches from three quarter arm slot, threw a lot of strikes, repeated delivery well, used slow curveball with good depth aggressively, frequently pitching backwards, solid pitchability, effective outing. Outstanding student.
