Cole Cooper is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Sickles HS. Cooper has as medium sized frame with a lean build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. His arm works easy and he pitches with lower effort. The ball comes out of his hand clean and he has a balanced delivery. Cooper gets closed at balance point and has a slight pause at balance point. He has an online delivery and repeated it well. Cooper throws an 11/5 curveball with some bite and shape to it at 62 MPH. He also threw a change up at 68 MPH with some sink to it. He maintained velocity through his outing and showed some pitchability. At the plate, Cooper has a balanced stance and flattens his bat at load a la Chuck Knoblauch. He has a flat bat path through the zone and has a middle of the field approach with bat speed. Very good student.
