Luis A. Curbelo is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS. Tall athletic build, has really filled out and got stronger, still projects. Right handed hitter, spread stance with a high hand start, balanced swing with good rhythm and timing, lots of bat speed, loose and extended out front with good lift, fluid swing and the ball jumps hard, can pull and lift the ball and has lots of power projection, very impressive overall performance on offense. 6.97 runner, has actions on defense with good footwork and balance, good arm strength from a compact arm action, projects at third base as he continues to grow. Good student. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic team.
