2013 Caribbean Top Prospect Showcase
Jean C. Cosme is a 2014 RHP with a 6-2 159 lb. frame from Toa Alta, PR who attends Colegio Sagrada HS. Loose young build, projects very well physically. Slow paced deliberate delivery, big leg raise, stays balanced and over the rubber well, quick easy arm action, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, lots of tail and run on fastball at times. Big sweeping curveball has good spin and depth, tends to drop slot somewhat on curveball and get around it. Did not see a change up. Threw strikes and worked ahead of hitters. High ceiling arm who hasn't got much exposure yet but should. Named to the Caribbean Showcase Top Prospect team.
