Brendan Vasquez is a 2018 1B/3B, 2B with a 5-10 212 lb. frame from Palm City, FL who attends Martin County HS. Strong athlete that is a great target at first base. During the infield workouts he showed good footwork at first base, fielded the ball in a good position, good double play feeds to second base, and threw accurately overall. At the plate he has a square stance with upright torso and active barrel. Shift to rear hip starts the swing, leg lift stride forward creates separation and elastic tension, tall through the zone. Best swings were to pull side where he was able to get the barrel out front and drive the ball with strength and barrel speed. Good student.
