Garrett Hutson is a 2015 RHP/SS with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Olathe, KS who attends Augusta HS. Medium athletic build, broad shoulders, has some present strength. Big leg raise delivery, stays tall over the rubber on his back side, fast arm coming through, extreme over the top arm slot, works downhill. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, lots of 91's, mostly straight, throws fastball to both sides of the plate and spots it well, primary fastball pitcher who attacks with the pitch. Tends to slow arm on curveball, gets big 11/5 depth at times, could throw more often. Rare change up. Right handed hitter, long loose swing from a high hand start, some uppercut plane, gets the ball in the air and has some gap power. 7.10 runner, also plays shortstop. Good student, verbal commitment to Oklahoma State.
