Hunter Childress is a 2017 LHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Lakeland, TN who attends Evangelical Christian High School. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long arms. Left handed pitcher that utilizes a high three quarter arm slot and big leg kick. Gets good natural tilt with a long arm action and some arm speed. Good extension, but could improve with more lower half incorporation. Fastball topped out at 79 with natural armside run that he works away to right handed batters. Showed some feel for 1/7 shaped curveball that he threw for strikes and flashed depth. Fielded his position well and showed a good pickoff move. Good student.
