Jake Wilson is a 2016 LHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Shadow Ridge. Medium frame, lean athletic build. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a compact arm action. Drifts towards the plate with tall and fall delivery and online stride, doesn't create a lot of momentum to the plate and relies on arm speed to generate velocity, quick arm. Good feel for changeup with fading action, tips with slower arm speed, deep two plane break on curveball. Swung the bat very well for a pitcher with good bat speed and pullside power, utilizes lower half to generate leverage in swing and has good two-way ability. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
