Christian Hammar is a 2016 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Woodcrest Christian. Medium frame, lean well proportioned build. Pitches from a three quarters arm slot with a long arm action. Quick arm, good two seam action on fastball in the mid 80s and also showed ability to cut it to glove side as well. Good command of fastball and curveball, also flashed changeup. Low effort delivery with good balance, good outing. Moves well in the outfield, same long loose arm action he showed on the mound translates in the outfield and projects well all around, good body control, smooth hands and good footwork at first base. Long stride into swing at the plate, good in-game approach. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
