Chandler Simpson is a 2019 SS/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends St. Pius X. Medium build, lean and athletic frame with big-time quick-twitch athleticism. Ran a 6.53 second 60 yard dash, blazing speed that shows up in game on the bases. Primary shortstop, waits back on ball fielding out in front nicely, gathers cleanly getting into a good position to throw, clean exchange from glove to hand, arm tends to drag at time but arm strength plays, topped out at 79 mph across the diamond. Lefthanded hitter, turns the barrel over well, average bat speed through the zone, he really gets extended well through contact but can get a bit rotational as well. Good student.
