Primary first baseman with smooth, athletic footwork while centering and working through the baseball. Showed good range to each side with moving for the baseball with soft footwork around the bag. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front and working through exchange. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing good carry across the infield with accuracy. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and hanging leg lift trigger. Created good shift into contact from lower half with linear actions to baseball. Present bat speed and strength at contact on a naturally lifted swing plane through extension. Can turn the barrel to contact and work the baseball to the pull side gap with hard jump off the barrel creating carry. Also pitched utilizing a simple side step delivery. Stays tall at gather and created slight coil at balance. Front side swings slightly while working to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Quick arm circle back at separation and released from a high three-quarters slot. Repeated arm action well with a fastball offering that flashed good downhill angle to the plate topping at 75 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid rotation and depth when staying on top of offering and working down in the zone. Developing feel when locating to each edge of the plate, but consistently filled the strike zone with both pitches. Very good student as well.
