Eric Hooper is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from West Chester, OH who attends Lakota West. Medium, strongly built, wiry frame. Ran a 7.26 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and shows good sinking action on his fastball. Shows good balance through his delivery and projects to add to his fastball, which currently tops at 81 mph. Flashes good 11-5 bite on his curveball at 68 mph. Misses bats with fastball movement. Pounds the zone. Also mixes a 72 mph changeup with late diving action. Also swung the bat, works from a narrow setup and makes good opposite field contact. Flashes a solid approach and compact swing path. Moves well to the ball in the outfield and flashes projectable arm strength. Very good student.
