Bret Adkins is a 2019 C/1B, OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Hiram, GA who attends South Paulding HS. Recorded a 7.14 second 6t0-yard dash time. Lanky frame with long limbs and room for additional physical projection. Primary catcher with very good arm strength recorded up to 83 mph to the bag. Short quick arm stroke with a quick release and arm strength plays well. Secondary outfielder with deliberate actions and an elongated release. Arm strength also played here with recorded velocity up to 86 mph. Righthanded hitter with a level swing plane and quickness to hands. Present barrel skills and turns it over effectively with intent. Could improve power with additional usage of the lower half. Good student. Named to the 2018 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
