Jackson Hugus is a 2021 C/3B, OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Wellington, FL who attends Wellington. Medium and strong frame. Ran a 7.28 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the plate with a side saddle stance, works through the baseball coming upright into his release, takes his arm back to a compact arm action into his throws creating good arm strength, effort to actions that produced a best throw of 78 mph and a 1.89 second pop time during drills. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a wide base and a high hand set, weight sits on his backside with plenty of movements to his hands at load, compact swing with segments to mechanics, hands are quick and swings hard, some strength to his swing when squared.
