Will Findlay is a 2019 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Ledgewood, NJ who attends Roxbury. Large frame with broad shoulders and a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.31 sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a low, side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground while working out of crouch with loose, clean exchanges. Released from a compact three-quarters arm slot producing good carry to the bag topping at 76 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 1.94. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high back elbow set. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Simple, direct path to contact with a naturally leverage barrel plane through extension. Flashed solid bat speed with good strength at contact. Primarily worked between the gaps with the present raw power to split each alley. Also pitched showing a side step to full over head delivery. Works to a slightly flexed back side at gather and utilized lower half well while driving in line to the plate through finish. Medium arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Split finger flashed some good action to arm side in the low to mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Showed good feel for a curveball offering that had 11/5 shape with solid spin and depth. Consistently pounded the strike zone and challenged hitters with both pitches. Good student as well.
