Geoffrey Gilbert is a 2019 LHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Charleston, SC who attends Bishop England HS. Solid athletic build with good present strength, square shoulders. High leg raise delivery, pretty fast paced, gets hips turned well, uses his strong lower half well, some drop and drive to his mechanics, over the top arm slot. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, has been 89-90 at many PG events, fastball gets on hitters quickly, gets some running action at times. Tight spin on his curveball with good power and biting action. Has an idea how to mix and keep hitters guessing. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a drifting shift into contact, has some bat speed and swings hard, gets good extension and flashed his power potential.
