Christopher Alleyne is a 2017 SS with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Chestnut Hill Academy. Medium, athletic build with square shoulders and a projectable frame with room to fill throughout but also shows present strength. Ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, funnels into a quick transfer and release while working from a higher release point, shows nice footwork working through the backhand, shows some arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Switch-hitter, shows more present hand speed and barrel control from the left side. Uses a toe tap trigger for timing, short stroke to the ball with consistent contact coming to the pull side, does a nice job of getting hips through with the swing. Similar approach from the right side, high back elbow in the box with an even stance. Upper body swing with a short and direct path, contact approach with steady line drives coming off the barrel to left field. Good student. Committed to Maryland.
