Eric Adler is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Melbourne, FL who attends Rockledge High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.06 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, used a short, compact arm action and comes through the ball well. Shorter steps through release with arm strength up to 83 mph. At the plate, started with an open base, narrow stance, and a simple leg lift timing mechanism. Swing works primarily through the upper half with a compact hand path to the ball. Worked pull side consistently with a deeper weight shift to start. Will improve with additional lower half incorporation and extension to the ball. Secondary pitcher, started with a leg lift to the belt, compact arm action, hides the ball well through the back, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Hands stay tight to body with a very quick arm through the back. Lands on-line and gets on top of fastball well. Generated good arm side life to 82-87 mph fastball with occasional plane. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with good depth at 72 mph. Showed a straight changeup that showed good depth and was thrown for strikes. Quality three pitch mix with higher ceiling as a prospect on the mound. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
