Andrew Chi is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Closter, NJ who attends Horace Mann. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows light actions on feet moving towards ball, athletic actions with range, extra steps upon release, fields the ball out front and works to a three-quarters slot, works through the backhand well, shows carry and strength across diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, medium spread stance in the box. Short and compact swing through the zone with nice bat speed, line drive swing plane with a loose path. Turns the barrel well and utilizes a middle of the field/contact approach, nice feel for barrel. Excellent student.
