Peyton McElroy is a 2018 C with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Marion, AR who attends Marion HS. Young athletic build, beginnings of some present strength. Right handed hitter, short and compact swing, swings down to the ball and makes consistent contact, works the middle of the field and shows occasional strength at contact, sound approach to grow from in the future. High set up behind the plate, has some athletic quickness in his actions and shifting, 7.35 runner, whippy quick action projects well, 2.10 best pop time is good for his age, arm strength still developing but makes accurate throws and will throw runners out. Good student.
