Blake Bautz is a 2018 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Bishop Lynch HS. Big frame, long lean build that projects well on the mound. Room to add additional strength. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot off the mound with good deception. Does a nice job of working corners of the plate. Some cut to his fastball and change up. Curveball has 1/7 break, slurve shape to it. Will be able to maintain velocity for longer stretch as he continues to put on additional strength. From 1st base, flashed some athletic actions and made solid throws across the infield. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a high hand set and high back elbow. Immediate weight transfer to front foot following leg lift trigger. Excellent student.
