Rudy Reyna III is a 2018 OF/IF/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Akins HS. Young athletic build, slender now but has a good frame to add strength. Right handed hitter, has a very nice swing for his age, simple approach with sound mechanics and balance, stays short and direct to the ball, flashed some pull power when timed, barrels the ball up consistently, it's obvious he has worked hard on his swing and has had good instruction. 7.43 runner, some sound fundamentals in his defensive actions, moves well to the ball and is balanced in his footwork, arm strength is young and still developing. Also pitched, slow paced leg raise delivery with a high 3/4's to over the top release point, threw only fastballs, topped out at 75 mph, threw strikes and made hitters swing the bat. Nice young player who has lots of energy on the field and likes to play. Good student.
