William Stephens is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Stone Mountain, GA who attends Marist HS. Large frame with good broadness and projection remaining on build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.06 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch, compact arm stroke through the back with spinal tilt to delivery to get arm up to high slot, creates some plane and hides ball well, fastball worked 73-80 mph with straight action. Worked in curveball with good depth when on top of it, did a good job of pitching to contact and getting quick outs. Hits from wide base with high hand set, looks to pull the ball, uses lower half well and shows solid bat speed, strength present in swing. Worked out in the infield, stationary fielder, shows clean hands, up to 79 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
