Justin Kilyk is a 2021 C/3B with a 5-10 164 lb. frame from Hazlet, NJ who attends Raritan. Medium build, young and athletic frame with plenty of room to fill with added strength and time to do so. Ran a 5.52 second 40 yard dash. Primary catcher, high crouched position, recieves out front, gains ground into throws but could utilize lower half for added arm strength, tall at release, 2.31 second best pop time. Also took reps in the infield, wide base, sits back on the baseball, developing hands out front, taller release into throws with average arm strength, he could use more of lower half into throws similar to catching throws for added zip, topped out at 74 mph across the diamond that should improve as he matures. Righthanded hitter, even stance with a leg lift trigger, high hand set with a high back elbow, short hand path to the baseball finishing full through contact, good weight transfer present but tends to hit off of front side, best when letting the ball travel deeper into hitting zone, showed contact to all fields during batting practice round. Good student.
