Jack Collins is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Decatur, AL who attends Decatur HS. Outstanding athletic build, long and strong and very projectable. Two way prospect. Uses his lower body well to generate power on the mound, gets downhill and extended out front from an athletic delivery. Consistent mid-80's fastball, gets his fastball to both sides of the plate, topped out at 86 mph with more there in the future. Curveball was his best pitch, had big power in the mid-70's and tight spin and bite with occasional big depth as well, will pitch backwards at times and feature his curveball. Right handed hitter, open stance, has a very strong swing and is aggressive, swings hard with bat speed and impact the ball hard, showed big pull power and carry, bat speed over mechanics at present but it's real bat speed. Would like to see him at third base defensively, playable outfield tools. Good student.
