Nathan Curtis is a 2018 1B/RHP with a 6-3 184 lb. frame from Eliot, ME who attends Marshwood HS. Tall and physical frame with room present to add more to the build as he continues to mature. Recorded a 4.42 30-yard dash. Primary first baseman with smooth footwork and maintains his momentum through the ball. Fuller arm action with solid pivots. Very loose arm action on the mound and threw from a three-quarter slot. Showed some arm speed and athleticism on the mound. Pitched exclusively from the stretch and had a three-pitch arsenal. The fastball sat in the upper-70s and the breaking ball could be spun for a soft curveball or a tighter slider. Changeup had some fade to the action as well. Open and spread stance at the plate with a lofted swing plane and plenty of strength throughout. Smooth swing and the barrel stays through the hitting zone for a long time. Loud contact and the power is easy. Projects for more power and balls carried very well to the pull side. Named to the 2017 Northeast Indoor Showcase - NY Top Prospect List. Great student.
