Jaxsen Davis is a 2016 OF/1B, 3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Plano Senior. Large, athletic build with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out, Solid runner, 6.70 60-yard dash, speed puts pressure on defenses and moves well down the line. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and tracks off the bat, fields out front, good arm strength from a short arm action with accuracy to the base. Similar arm action from first base, moves off the back well, quick arm and gets on top of throws, strong arm across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and uses a leg lift trigger for timing. Line drive swing plane with a short path to the ball. Hits the ball out front, opens front side early at times but creates consistent contact to pull side. Upper body swing, line drive contact with nice bat speed coming through the zone. Very good student.
