2005 Academic Showcase
Harrison is a 6-1, 175 lb right handed pitcher from South Carolina with a nice projectbable body for a 2007 prospect. Harrison also showed prospect level tools and skills as an infielder as well. On the mound, Harrison threw 3 perfect innings with 5 strikeouts. He has an easy arm action and sound delivery that enables him to pitch to spots and command his pitches well. Harrison’s fastball was 80-84 mph and should gain velocity as he matures. He threw two types of breaking balls, one at 67-68 mph and a harder one at 71-72 mph and showed good spin at times. Harrison is a 7.18 runner who threw 80 in infield drills. He showed smooth actions at shortstop and fielded the ball cleanly. Harrison has good extension in his swing and projects some power when he gets stronger. He made good adjustments against live pitching in games and lined a couple of hits. Harrison is a good follow for college coaches in the Southeast, especially if he gets stronger. Harrison is an excellent student with top level scores already for a 2007 grad.
