Ryan Long is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Woodinville, WA who attends The Overlake HS. XL, long frame with solid present build and strength throughout with high-end physical projection remaining. Very long limbs for frame. Throws from high three quarters slot with excellent downhill plane to the plate, stays online well through delivery, arm is clean throughout action and works well. Fastball velocity ranged from 77-80 and touched 82 early on in outing. Generates good spin on 10/4-shaped curveball, maintained both velocity and ability to generate spin from the stretch. Changeup worked in the mid-upper 60's with good sinking action to arm side. Filled up the strike zone with three pitch mix, worked very quickly and did good job of keeping hitters off balance. Has good overall projection on the mound. Very good student.
