Will Gross is a 2020 RHP/UT with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Mountain Home, AR who attends Mountain Home HS. Strong compact build with good upper body strength, looks bigger than listed. Works from the stretch, gets over his front side well and creates lots of downhill angle from a high 3/4's arm slot. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, mostly straight but gets on hitters quickly, primary fastball pitcher. Change up best secondary pitch, showed good feel for locating the pitch, short slurve-type breaking ball is not consistent yet. Right handed hitter, tall stance with a short stride out front, rotational power approach, loose extended swing with an uphill plane, has some pop with his strength, looks to pull the ball. 7.22 runner, has good third base tools on defense with balanced actions and some arm strength. Solid all around athlete. Good student.
