Danny Crossen is a 2017 3B/SS, RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Cotuit, MA who attends The Cheshire Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulder and present strength throughout body. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, graded out higher as an arm in this look. In the field shows soft hands that play at the ball and fields it out front, longer gather into a full arm action, quick transfer, moves well on feet and shows balance to actions, accurate throws, arm strength will continue to develop on throws across. Begins delivery with a side step and gets tall on backside, shows balance to delivery and a full hand path before breaking into full arm action and working to a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, ball comes out clean and creates angle, mostly true in life with occasional cut to glove side. Shows an 11-5 curveball with short depth and tight spin at 65 mph, looks to use as put away pitch. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high back elbow in the box, hands start below shoulders. Upper body dominant swing, uses a leg lift trigger for timing, shows a contact approach at the plate. Short path to the ball with some downward plane, stays direct to it and shows feel for the barrel with an inside path through the ball. Good student.
