Antonio Barranca is a 2020 C/3B, OF with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from York, PA who attends Calvert Hall College. Recorded a 4.86 second 40-yard dash time. Large frame with excellent physicality and well-proportioned strength. Primary catcher with good arm strength recorded up to 81 mph and a best pop time of 1.96 seconds. Gains ground well with an uphill arm stroke. Arm strength plays nicely from secondary position of the infield with throws recorded up to 89 mph. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Balanced swing with impressive raw bat speed. Turns hard over the inside part of the plate. Big raw power to pull the ball with excellent strength off the barrel. Good student. Named to the 2019 NE Indoor Top Prospect List.
