Brent Burford is a 2020 C/MIF, OF with a 5-8 148 lb. frame from Jackson, GA who attends Jackson. Small build, lean and athletic frame, plenty of time to mature physically with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.77 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, narrow side saddle stance, stays low with quick and clean exchange, gains ground into throws, good arm strength that will get better with growth, 1.87 best pop. Also took reps in the infield, fluid actions with good range laterally, good glove with quick transfer to hand, solid arm strength with online carry and accuracy. Righthanded hitter, spread and open stance, simple leg lift trigger, linear shift into contact with weight mostly on back leg, direct and compact hand path to baseball with some quickness, balance and fluidity present, good lift out front with feel for the barrel, worked to each gap well with line drive contact. Excellent student.
