Steven Paul is a 2021 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Skillman, NJ who attends Montgomery HS. Medium frame with strong, physical build. Hits from slightly open stance, high hands and back elbow, toe tap trigger, swings the bat hard with intent to do damage, quality bat speed with contact out front, gets on plane and impacts the ball, HR power pull side with good carry in any direction, has good hitting tools overall. Worked out at first base, deeper high funnel, tends to wait back on the ball, fields clean and turns well, clocked up to 80 mph on throws. Also pitched, lengthy arm stroke through the back on flatter circle, high three quarters slot, fastball worked 79-81 mph with flashes of arm side life, good feel for his curveball, thrown on 12/6 shape with good spin and bite to the depth, did a good job throwing strikes. Very good student.
